Established in 2018 by a company with long standing expertise making traditional Japanese drinks, their is one overarching principle at Yuza - quality above all. Nothing will compromise this mission and even at a fledgling age like this inaugural release, you can taste how special this whisky is. This is on the way to being one of the great whisky distillers in the world. Very limited quantities of this first edition available.
Bottled at 43% ABV, the whisky has been reimagined by Suntory’s fifth-generation chief blender, Shinji Fukuyo, and the blend is designed to nod to the original concept of Hibiki 12-Year-Old. It combines whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries.
The spirit is matured in a mix of American oak, Spanish oak, and precious Japanese Mizunara oak casks.
The reintroduced expression also features updated packaging inspired by Kacho-Fugetsu, a traditional Japanese aesthetic philosophy associated with nature and the changing seasons. Design elements include motifs of flowers, birds, wind, moonlight and flowing water. A prominent feature is the bottle’s 24-faceted design, which symbolises Japan’s 24 traditional microseasons. The packaging also incorporates the Marumado, a circular window commonly found in traditional Japanese architecture and intended to frame natural scenery.

A continuation of the Blossom Harmony series that maintains the signature sakura-inspired profile while refining the presentation with new traditional Japanese artwork celebrating layered beauty, harmony, and seasonal elegance. The whisky itself remains focused on floral aromatics and graceful balance.
The iconic 24-facet Hibiki decanter returns with an Echizen washi paper label. For 2026, the presentation box adopts a refreshed Yobitsugi-inspired design featuring auspicious Japanese motifs including peonies, chrysanthemums, and hawks, woven together with flowing curves to symbolize harmony, prosperity, renewal, and good fortune.
A blend of malt and grain whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita, incorporating long-matured grain whisky finished in sakura (cherry wood) casks. The sakura cask influence imparts delicate floral notes and elegant sweetness while preserving the classic Hibiki balance.
Hibiki means “Resonance” in Japanese. From its launch in 1989 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Suntory, Hibiki embodies the Suntory philosophy to live in harmony with nature and people. As the Founding House of Japanese Whisky and A House of Master Blenders, the House of Suntory has gone to great lengths to explore the breadth and depth of what Harmony can mean for a blend. Every Hibiki expression is one of the most sought after blends in the world where every Hibiki expression is meticulously crafted for us to discover a different kind of Harmony. Achieving the right balance and orchestration proved to be a great challenge from the start since the Sakura cask is one with strong character that can easily become overbearing.
After much trial and error, we found that the grain whiskies finished in the Sakura cask best elevated the overall balance as a Blossoming Harmony slowly unfolding. The end result is a particularly unique expression of Hibiki. The invitation of an enticing floral bouquet, followed by the signature Hibiki depth and complexity of honey, candied orange peel, jasmine and chocolatey decadence, all climaxing to a surprising finish of bitter sweet spicy notes.

Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu 10 Year Old is the distillery’s second age-statement single malt, following The First Ten released in 2020. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV.
The limited edition has been matured for a minimum of 10 years, primarily in ex-Bourbon barrels. Showcasing Chichibu’s signature fruit-forward style, the palate delivers textured notes of orange peel, peach, red currant, white pepper, and roasted malt.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Caramel wafers in a cloud of incense – savoury, perfumed and sweet perfectly balanced. Sultanas follow, with oaky spice: nutmeg, cinnamon sticks and freshly sawn damp oak. Autumnal flavours of leaves and fragrant forests build, with a side order of sweet and spicy vanilla, and sweet butter. A drop of water dampens the incense and brings out subtle tropical fruit: pineapple and mango.
Palate
Spiced butter leads, with cinnamon and anise heat rolling in behind alongside sticky vanilla and caramel. Sharp apple bursts through but is tempered by bitter char and toffee sweetness. Savoury turmeric notes and incense build through the sweetness. Water tones down the buttery hit at the front of the palate, and reveals layers of spice and fruit: banana, menthol and ripe apples.
Finish
Soft apple fades to char and sweet woody spice. Earthy rancio lingers long at the back of the palate, slowly sweetening.

Unit price perThe House of Suntory is proud to introduce this new limited edition Hibiki release that celebrates Japanese artistry and elevate nature’s beauty in partnership with painter Hiroshi Senju. A specially commissioned work overflowing with elegance and harmony will complement limited numbers of Hibiki 21 Years Old.
Senju’s oeuvre explores modernity through large-scale waterfalls painted in the nihonga style, which blends traditional Japanese techniques with western influences. The piece Senju crafted for this release, Waterfall in Colors ‘Hibiki’, captures the drama and tranquility at the base of a waterfall in beautiful purple hues inspired by the Kokimurasaki gradient, a deep purple associated with Japanese nobility.
The limited edition Hibiki 21YO features the piece on the bottle label and comes in a beautiful printed gift box displaying Senju’s work of art.
This partnership was borne from a shared ethos between Hiroshi Senju and Hibiki that respects tradition and honors nature while pursuing bold new creative visions. Senju created this painting by filling canvas panels with water, adding natural pigments made from crushed oyster shells, and allowing the water's flow to guide the colors freely.
This practice of letting the materials dictate the creative process is mirrored by the way Hibiki allows natural ingredients and climate to guide the production process. In their own ways, both Hiroshi Senju and Hibiki Whisky tell the story of traditional Japanese artisanship inspiring modern expressions.
