A true unicorn in both the terms of rarity and absolutely incredible whiskey.   This particular batch (1A) of angels envy rye was bottled at cask strength of 112 proof as opposed to the normal 100 proof.   This is one of those true “if you know you know” bottles that has truly reached peak status within the enthusiast community.  Part of the batch was held back by the distillery for friends and family and the rest was “distributed” out in an unknown fashion.  Truly the only way to differentiate the physical bottle from the other angels envy rye is the batch and the proof.

As for the whiskey inside this is one of the most unique and incredible pours you’ll ever have.  We’ve been fortunate enough to try this years ago and finally have a bottle in our hands but this bottle tastes like an incredible French toast with maple syrup and has an aroma that carries across a room.  

There are a lot of rumors about what went into this bottle but none of them will do it justice for how incredible and how rare this is.
