Bring home the bacon with our limited edition PiggyBank Rye Aged 10 Years.  This Straight Rye Whiskey celebrates a decade of innovation since our first Best Rye Award (Triple One, WWA 2012), bottled in a porcine decanter based on a 19th century Berkshire Bitter Pig.  This ham’s hind is bottled at 110 proof and wax sealed to keep every drop of goodness safe until posterior consumption.

Bottled in an ornate decanter, the fall edition denotes a black label, consistent across all fall releases. As was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products, will disclose when the liquid was produced and bottled. The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond fall edition will be available in the 750ml size on an allocated basis. It meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. 

The Fall 2022 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the first 19-year-old of the nationally released series and features Bourbon pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus. An alluring elixir served in celebration of victory and creation, Thandai joins the shakti of Straight Rye Whiskey with a floral meditation of saffron, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, further enlivened by fennel, poppy and black peppercorn. The result is a splendid wellspring of strength and majesty; a saga befitting the maharajah of Rye.

Each year, Old Forester releases a limited edition Birthday Bourbon to commemorate the birthday of George Garvin Brown on September 2nd. These releases are known for their unique character, which varies from year to year based on the selection of barrels and the conditions under which they were aged.

We can anticipate a bourbon that has been carefully aged to develop a rich and complex flavor profile. The 107 proof indicates a bourbon that is likely to offer a robust taste experience, with a higher alcohol content contributing to an intensified expression of the whiskey's inherent flavors.

Nose: Aromatic richness with notes of dark fruit, vanilla, and oak, often complemented by hints of caramel and spice.
Palate: A complex blend of flavors such as chocolate, caramel, and dark cherry, with underlying notes of leather, tobacco, and spices. The palate is usually well-balanced, showcasing Old Forester's signature depth and warmth.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with lingering sweetness and a smooth integration of oak and spice notes.

A world renowned Japanese blend, Hibiki 17 Year Old is made with aged malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's distilleries. Initially released in 1989, the blend is matured in Japanese mizunara oak casks at Yamazaki. Hibiki means harmony, which has certainly been achieved in this wonderful and iconic blend.

THE RESULT IS A MEZCAL THAT IS AS DELICATE AS IT IS SPICY, WITH A DEEP CITRUS AND GREEN APPLE NOSE THAT GIVES WAY TO SOFT HERBAL NOTES WITH A DELICATE SMOKINESS THAT LINGERS ON THE TONGUE. FINISHES WITH NOTES OF TUBEROSE, JASMINE AND CHAMOMILE THAT SOFTEN INTO A BALANCED, VELVETY MOUTHFEEL.

THE HAND-BLOWN GLASS BOTTLE FEATURES A RICH BLACK FINISH INSPIRED BY OAXACA'S CENTURIES-OLD BARRO NEGRO POTTERY-MAKING TRADITION. THE BOTTLE WAS DESIGNED BY TESLA’S DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT DESIGN, JAVIER VERDURA, IN HONOR OF HIS MEXICAN ROOTS AND EARLY LIFE GROWING UP IN MEXICO CITY. THE DESIGN IS EMBLEMATIC OF MEXICO'S OAXACAN CULTURE, FEATURING A UNIQUE HAND-MOLDED FORM THAT HONORS INGENUITY, FAMILY VALUES AND A LOVE OF FOOD.

TASTING NOTES: FLORAL, DELICATE AND SPICY WITH EARTHY AROMAS AND HINTS OF LIME, GREEN APPLE AND SPICE FOLLOWED BY SMOKY NOTES. FINISHES WITH SOFT TUBEROSE, JASMINE AND CHAMOMILE. MOUTHFEEL IS BALANCED, YET STRONG WITH LIGHT BITTER NOTES AT THE END.

MASH BILL: 75% Corn, 20% Wheat, 5% Malted Barley. Buttery, Tobacco, Apricot, Oak on the nose. Vanilla & Caramel, Buttery Oak, Black Pepper on the palate with moderately long finish that is dry, spicy and oak forward.

Fortaleza Winter Blend Reposado 2023 - A combination of reposados previously aged in American oak formerly containing charanda, French oak most recently used aging Winter Blend 2022, and Hungarian oak most recently used aging Winter Blend 2022, all blended with Classic Fortaleza Reposado and proofed to 44% ABV.
