Caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and cooked agave aromas practically jump from the glass in this highly-praised and perfectly-aged añejo. This tequila is so rich and complex that some people are even able to detect pineapple, peach, orange blossom, nutmeg, and raisin in the nose.

Once in your mouth, the full cooked agave experience continues with a thick and oily texture that coats your mouth in a very soothing way. Butterscotch, caramel, toffee, citrus, and hazelnuts are common flavors that people identify.

Two well-bred ryed bourbons and one finished bourbon each complementing the others in this, our 10th edition pact. In honor of this double-digit milestone, we’ve achieved a double finish. The first finish was perfected in Cabernet Franc barrels, with the second refined in Merlot casks.

• T8ke's Tasting Notes: Hefty and rye driven on the nose: bold sweetness, heavy rye spice, a crackle of ginger, toffee, oak, a hint of herbal pop, and gobs of sticky toffee and pleasant tannin. What strike me most is the ebb and flow of rye spice - peaking both on the palate and the nose: big sweetness gives way to pronounced rye spice, which gives way back to balancing oak, baking spice and undercurrents of sweet, dessert character. It has the vibrancy and the pop and crackle of the ryes I love most with the backbone, tannin and underlying sweetness to bring big complexity without shrouding how rye forward the pour is. Long finish, honey, cracked pepper, brown sugar and baking spice, hints of herbal and minty rye with cherries, tobacco and decadent spice. 

This is a 9 year cask strength single barrel bourbon bottled through a collaborative distillery partnership we have with Middleburg Barrel Company in Virginia.   This is a super approachable cask strength bourbon coming in at 116 proof and full of brown sugar, ripe red fruits, and a nice kick of toasted vanilla oak on the palate.  This is a tremendous pour and an amazing value for the profile!

• T8ke's Tasting Notes:  Big and bright, loaded with spice, citrus, cedar and honey, the juniper sits a touch farther back on the nose with more pepper, coriander, and spice with a touch more vanilla. Grapefruit holds on and the nose is lovely and rich. Palate is viscous, satisfying, layered, lots of honey, juniper, orange peel and a hint of ginger, pepper, a hint of vanilla, grapefruit essence and some orange peel alongside more cedar and a hint of lemon. Long finish, this is the defining difference from our first bourbon barrel, finish hangs on longer with a touch less botanical and a touch more barrel sweetness and balancing spice.
