A Masterclass in Maturity. The Boldest Chapter of the Rising Tide.
In an era of young, high-speed spirits, Old Swagger 12-Year stands as a testament to the power of patience. This 4th Release from Rising Tide Spirits is a rare bird: a 12-year-old Straight Rye Whiskey that carries the prestige.
This is rye whiskey with a "swagger" that only comes from a decade-plus of dancing with the wood.
The Profile: Power, Spice, and Structural Depth
While younger ryes are often characterized by "green" herbal notes, this 12-year expression has moved into the realm of dark sugars and deep spice. The extra time in the barrel has rounded the rye’s natural "bite" into a sophisticated, warming complexity.
-
Nose: An immediate, aromatic invitation of salted caramel, dark chocolate-covered ginger, and aged oak. Secondary notes of mint leaf, clove, and a hint of dusty warehouse funk emerge as it breathes.
-
Palate: Full-bodied and authoritative. Expect a rich, oily texture that delivers waves of maple syrup, toasted rye bread, and black pepper. Mid-palate, you'll find a delightful transition into stone fruit—think dried apricots and cherry skins.
-
Finish: Long, dry, and triumphant. The "Bottled-in-Bond" 100 proof provides the perfect heat, tapering into cinnamon stick, cigar box, and a lingering sweetness of vanilla bean.
The 4th Release Distinction
The 4th Release of Old Swagger represents the pinnacle of Rising Tide's sourcing and curation. At 12 years old, the rye grain has fully integrated with the charred American oak, creating an experience that rivals the most sought-after ryes in the country. It is a "pour-for-the-occasion" whiskey that commands respect from the first sip to the last.

*This is a 2026 bottling of Michter's 10 Year Bourbon*
Mature in age and truly exceptional in quality, Michter’s 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon has earned its place as an enduring favorite of the most discerning whiskey connoisseurs. The “Best American Whiskey” according to Food & Wine magazine, our 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon represents the culmination of over a decade of patient aging in our specially chosen, new charred American white oak barrels. Sweet and grainy: corn bread slathered in honey, johnnycakes with cherry jam. Fizzy cream soda mixed with a bit of varnish segues into warm leather and a hint of summer-warmed dry grass, which is amplified with water. This is a very well-integrated whiskey with a lovely balance between creamy and spicy. There’s a full, rich, toffee sweetness throughout, balancing the earthy, humus-like bass notes in the mid palate. The finish is also very reminiscent of soda pop, almost giving the impression of carbonation, with a lingering muted spiciness.
Swell de Spirits is an independent, family-owned bottler based in Pessac, France. The company was founded in 2021 by Michael Barbaria and Kelly . They release a variety of limited edition bottles of rum, whiskey, Armagnac, and cognac from distilleries around the world.
Los Convidados is a partnership between Michael Barbaria and his friends and associates Bruno Sarabia and Darian Penichet. This Mexican company specializes in Mexican spirits : mezcal, tequila, gin, and rum.
This confidential vintage is born from the collaboration between Swell de Spirits and Los Convidados , produced within the prestigious Cascahuin distillery. Made from 100% Azul agaves aged over 5 years , it follows a meticulous artisanal process: slow cooking in an underground oven for 7 days , traditional Tahona extraction, fermentation in wooden vats with agave fibers, then double distillation in a copper still .
The result: an exceptional Blanco Tequila , bottled at 47% , limited to only 5,000 bottles.
Nose : Gourmet notes of licorice, lemon candy, nougat, fresh herbs and cinnamon brioche.
Palate : Rich and expressive, with aromas of sweet spices, star anise, coconut and white pepper.
Finish : persistent, with the freshness of grass and the sweetness of pastries.
A refined and sophisticated tequila, perfect to enjoy on its own, as a digestif, or to offer an extraordinary taste experience.
The Caboose
From Jim:
"The youngest child in a large family holds a unique position – they’re the recipient of a distinctive focus from both parents and siblings. Just like the last car of the train painted bright red, they stick out. Some of the undeserved attention is positive and some of it is, well, annoying. But a caboose, like a large family, is increasingly rare these days. Both are worth celebrating, ideally with a good bourbon.
"Like previous Fathertime releases, The Caboose was created by me and Stu tasting barrels and blending until we found something smooth, balanced, and worth sharing. Each batch is small and carefully selected, and every bottle is personally signed by me – a process that is admittedly a pain in the ass, but ultimately worth it. Much like fatherhood."
Stagg Jr. - Older Batch with "Jr" on Label (no specific batch)
George T. Stagg built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, during a time known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon. Uncut and unfiltered, this robust bourbon whiskey ages for nearly a decade and boasts the bold character that is reminiscent of the man himself.
-
- Their Words: Our Gin is distilled in micro batches of just 26 gallons. This focused attention allows us to finely tune and tweak our botanicals on a nano level. Adjustments made, craftsmanship applied to guarantee that our Gin delivers that unique 100 Mill St smoothness. As the vapors pass through our botanical basket infusing flavors within the Gin we give praise to Valor Cog Flora. Roughly translated from its completely made-up origins, it means “Value with Botanicals.” However, there is a secret message within this imaginary Latin phrase. Each consonant and vowel represents a different botanical added to our selected northern juniper—this secret coalesces to produce what is described as Umami. (Pssst, you can tell others.)

- T8ke's Tasting Notes: Powerful sap, vanilla bean, honey, leather, bright corn and some nice cracked pepper, light lime citrus. Honey, toffee, vanilla bean. Creamy qualities. Light berry - strawberry. Some lime. Then the faint juniper, cassia, light cardamom and some cracked pepper strikes in. Really nice transition. Medium in length, loaded with creamy notes once again. Honey, vanilla, cassia, light nuttiness and some pepper to close us out. Great body in the finish that wisps away cleanly.
Empty Nester (Cask) Strength
From Jim:
"As my appreciation for bourbon evolved, so did my preference for a stronger pour. That’s why some bottles of The Caboose are released at cask strength (121.0 proof), which I affectionately call 'Empty Nester Strength.'
"When children finally leave the home, parents enter a unique stage in their journey. While empty nesters are often characterized as being victoriously liberated from parental responsibilities, they sometimes also experience a level of grief. The grip of love and fear that permeates parenting grows a little tighter. And some nights that calls for a stronger bourbon."

This release comes three months after Michter's was named The World's Most Admired Whiskey for an unprecedented third time. In August, Drinks International published the 2025 list of the World's Most Admired Whiskies. The rankings are determined by an international academy consisting of 100 independent global drinks buyers, journalists, bartenders and whisky experts, and it includes legendary distillers from Scotland, Japan, Ireland, and beyond.
By law bourbon must be aged in a brand new barrel, which imparts flavor, color and oak character more quickly than a used barrel. To age a whiskey that will taste wonderful after two decades in a first-use barrel is an extremely difficult endeavor that requires a skillful balance of art and science. I believe that people will appreciate the thoughtful and conscientious work of our production team when they taste this exceptional whiskey," commented Michter's President Joseph J. Magliocco.
Barrel management and precisely controlled warehouse conditions are critical to the quality of aged whiskey. Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson oversees both of these important areas for Michter's. Wilson observed, "Details matter when it comes to aging bourbon gracefully. Michter's 20 Year Bourbon is an exemplary representation of how oak can be used to deepen vanilla, toffee, chocolate, spice, fruit, and confectionery notes that enhance complexity in bourbon. We hope that everyone who gets the opportunity to taste this product is able to experience the beloved attributes of a beautiful, timeless bourbon crafted through intentional aging."
Our favorite felines are back in the next iteration of Mars’s charming and popular Lucky Cat series. Honoring two cats we’ve previously seen grace a label (but never together), this “Double Individuals” blend features May, a twenty-year-old cat represented by rich sherry maturity, and Hana, nearly half May’s age, whose gregariousness is represented by elegant port wine influence. The two energies combine to create a lavish whisky evocative of cats napping peacefully in their favorite sun-splashed room.

- T8ke's Tasting Notes: This batch is wild to me, one of the most distinctive of the day - an orchestra of tropical fruits like guava and mango and lime with this savory and rich character: black pepper, a faint touch of cinnamon, slate and the faintest touch of cedar and mesquite. It was distinctive and assertive on the nose, bright and loaded with character right away. The palate is a fusion of fresh fruits: lime, pineapple, mango, guava, vanilla, fantastic balance and balanced with a hint of white pepper, some cinnamon, light smoke - natural and essenced, not industrial or overpowering. The finish is a gorgeous blend of fruit and spice, tropical fruits, more salinity and minerality pairing beautifully with citrus and tropical fruit and this creamy, vanilla sweetness. Incredible, distinctive.
A light amber whisky brought to life with notes of tropical fruits, floral and spice.
