In partnership with whiskyvault.com.tw we are pleased to be able to offer the best individual solution for whisk(e)y protection and include a few starter kit bottle options. The whisky vault mini itself is sized to fit 10-15 standard sized bottles and can be placed on most countertops or standalone bars. These make the perfect gift for that corner office or home display.

Lead time for the whisky vault mini is 6-8 weeks as these ship from Taiwan. Price listed includes shipping of the vault and bottles but does not include import duties/fees which typically run about 5% of the cost of the vault itself and tariffs which are unpredictable at this time and can run anywhere from 30% to 100% or more. Duties/Fees/Tariffs are the responsibilities of the buyer to pay directly with the shipping provider. Bottles will ship separately from our standard warehouse location in Washington, DC.

Van Winkle Whisky Vault Mini Kit - includes the whisky vault mini and one bottle each from the current van winkle line up including the 23 year, 20 year, 15 year, 12 year, 10 year, and 13 year rye. Specific vintage requests may incur additional charges.

Michter's Whisky Vault Mini Kit - includes the whisky vault mini and one bottle each of Michter's 20 year bourbon, Michter's 25 year bourbon, and Michter's celebration. Specific vintage requests may incur additional charges.

A.H Hirsch Whisky Vault Mini Kit - includes the whisky vault mini and one bottle each of the AH Hirsch 16 year blue wax, AH Hirsch 20 year red wax, and AH Hirsch 16 year gold foil.

The Collectable range of 4 variants, recreated by Macallan’s Whisky Maker, reflects the style of The Macallan in the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s and the distinctive packaging features a classic mode of travel from each era.

To re-create the style of Macallan in the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, its Master Distiller sampled bottles of The Macallan from that decade and matched their aroma and flavour with more recent distillations taken from the casks maturing in the warehouses.

Macallan 1920s

During the 1920s, most Macallan produced was sold to whisky blenders as a “top dressing” single malt for their blended whiskies. The few remaining casks continued to mature their contents for longer, resulting in a whisky that was slightly drier and less toffee sweet than modern day Macallan.

Macallan 1930s

During the 1930s, with coal in short supply as a result of increasing industrial activity, Macallan reverted to drying barley using peat fires. This, combined with the scarcity of oak sherry casks due to the Spanish civil war, resulted in a whisky that was both peatier and less spicy than modern day Macallan.

Macallan 1940s

During the 1940s, with a shortage of sherry cask as a result of the Second World War, Macallan would refill its casks more often than is the current practice. This, combined with the use of peat to dry the barley, resulting in a whisky that was less spicy and peatier than modern day Macallan.

Macallan 1950s

During the 1950s, Spanish oak sherry casks became available again following the disruption of the Second World War, allowing The Macallan to revert to using only first and second fill casks. This resulted in a whisky that was as rich and spicy as modern day Macallan, but with a hint of peat smoke.
