Named after the traditional artisanal festivities - or "Jolgorios" - of villages in the brand's native homeland of Oaxaca, Mexico, El Jolgorio mezcals are are made exclusively from different species and varieties of wild and semi-wild harvested agave. They are then twice distilled in copper pot stills. On every bottle is inscribed the species of agave, the age at harvest, the village of production, and the name of the Maestro Mezcalero. El Jolgorio Espadin Mezcal is traditionally pit-roasted, open fermented and double distilled to create beautiful notes of marzipan and anise with an earthy, clean finish.
