Clase Azul Dia Los Muertos 2024 Release
Música
In Mexico, Día de Muertos is a celebration where the sublime and the festive come together to honor the memory of those who are no longer with us.
This is the fourth installment of Nuestros Recuerdos, an annual series of five limited-edition creations dedicated to the most exquisite aspects of Día de Muertos.
Clase Azul Dia De Los Muertos ("Day of the Dead") 2025 Limited Edition
Clase Azul Dia De Los Muertos ("Day of the Dead") 2025 Limited Edition
Clase Azul México proudly unveils the fifth and ultimate chapter in the revered “Nuestros Recuerdos” collection. This exceptional release serves as a deep, heartfelt homage to Día de Muertos, capturing the delicate balance between the joy of life and the comfort of remembrance. Under the skillful guidance of Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this exquisite Añejo Tequila is a testament to Mexican tradition, masterful spirit, and unparalleled artistry.
The Spirit: A Layered Añejo with Depth
This meticulously crafted Añejo tequila is distilled from 100% Blue Weber Agave. The liquid is a complex blend of tequilas matured from 12 to 36 months in virgin American whiskey barrels. To achieve its distinctive character, a portion of the agave is uniquely slow-cooked in a traditional earth pit oven, lending profound roasted and smoky notes that call to mind an ancestral Mexican kitchen. 40% ABV and 80 proof. The resulting tequila is a smooth, warm experience, offering inviting flavors of caramelized agave, bright orange zest, subtle clove, and a perfect touch of oak-toasted spice. This is more than a drink; it's a liquid meditation on love and memory.
The Decanter: A Canvas of Remembrance
The ceramic bottle itself is a collector's dream, finished in a serene ivory hue that evokes quiet dignity. Designed by artist Erika Rivera, the illustration at the base beautifully depicts a family’s ofrenda, laden with traditional symbols: bright cempasúchil flowers, sweet pan de muerto, delicate papel picado, celebratory sugar skulls, and flickering candles. Soft, ethereal silhouettes of ancestors are woven into the scene, symbolizing the cherished, yet subtle, presence of the departedduring this special holiday.
The Ornament: A Golden Keepsake of Eternal Love
Adorning the neck of this final bottle is a magnificent 24-karat gold-plated locket, painstakingly handcrafted by the master artisans of Milagros de Latón in Jalisco. This bespoke piece opens to reveal a polished obsidian cameo, a dark mirror representing the clarity of eternal memory. The locket's face is intricately detailed with traditional milagritos (tiny brass miracles) that symbolize blessings, protection, and devotion, framed by sculptural elements of candles and sugar skulls. The creation of each ornament demands over 12 hours and more than 50 precise steps, culminating in a beautifully hand-finished patina.
ABV / Proof: 40% ABV and 80 Proof

The second Nuestros Recuerdos release evokes the colorful decorations of Día de Muertos, containing an añejo tequila aged 22 months in whiskey casks and finished 6 months in artisanal rum casks from Martinique.
Like Mexican culture itself, Día de Muertos is inseparable from color. During the celebration, vibrant hues become a language of memory, joy, and remembrance. Ofrendas glow with cempasúchil blossoms, intricate papel picado, and festive decorations that transform homes and public spaces alike.
For this limited edition, Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco orchestrated a distinctive aging process to create an exceptional añejo tequila. The spirit is matured for 22 months in American whiskey casks, followed by a six-month finish in artisanal rhum agricole casks from Martinique. These casks impart refined tropical and vegetal notes, lending the tequila remarkable depth and complexity.
The white ceramic surface of this decanter features a rough glaze inspired by alfeñique, the traditional sugar paste used in Día de Muertos confections. Its illustration brings together vibrant cempasúchil blossoms and papel picado motifs in a vivid celebration of color and tradition. At the front, a handcrafted silver-plated brass ornament accented with colorful enamels portrays a classic sugar skull sweet.

Our newest limited edition is inspired by a moment when the world’s gaze turns to our country, a season defined by anticipation, pride, and shared emotion. This time awakens a profound sense of awe, as the boundless potential of human greatness comes into view.
As neighboring lands converge in hospitality, a spirit of energy, triumph and resonant celebration takes hold, transcending borders and time.
Expertly curated by our Master Distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, the remarkable joven blend for this edition was aged for 28 months in French oak vats from the Forest of Tronçais, then lightly accented with a dash of a specially crafted unaged tequila.
The fine grain and light toast of these vats guide a slow, deliberate evolution, revealing a uniquely captivating and aromatic profile.
A Ballad of Fire
Our most recent icon: an innovative expression of tequila that captures the transformative force that fire exerts upon agave.
The delicately smoky profile of this unaged spirit stems from the revival of ancestral tequila-making techniques.
The agave for this tequila is cooked slowly in a pit oven lined with firewood and volcanic stone, imparting subtle notes of smoke.
Inspired by legendary tales from San Luis Potosí, the spirit and decanter of our newest icon capture the essence of this state’s desert slopes and valleys.
Its mezcal is made with green agave, a plant native to the deserts in the state of San Luis Potosí.
Color: crystal clear with silver highlights
Body: full body
Aroma: cooked agave, caramel, green chile, sweet fruit and freshly cut grass with subtle aromas of wildflowers
Palate: herbal front with hints of caramel, lime zest and clove, with a mineral and spiced aftertaste
The Clase Azul The Loft Brooklyn Collection III Añejo Tequila is the third installment in the brand's exclusive limited-release series tied to The Loft, Clase Azul's invitation-only events space in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn. Building on the foundation of Collection I (2024) and Collection II, the Collection III decanter is a black ceramic vessel created in collaboration with Brooklyn-based artists, continuing the series' tradition of pairing exceptional Añejo liquid with site-specific artistry that honors New York City's architectural and cultural identity. Each bottle ships in a one-liter format and is produced in highly limited quantities — earlier editions in the series were capped at approximately 1,000 bottles globally.
Inside the decanter, Collection III continues the Clase Azul tradition of premium Añejo production. The liquid is distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jesús María, Jalisco, then aged for a minimum of 20 months in American whiskey barrels — the standard maturation profile that defines the Loft Brooklyn series. Earlier editions added a secondary finishing period in Calvados (French apple-brandy) casks, building layers of caramelized fruit, baking spice, and warm oak on top of the cooked-agave foundation. Every bottle reflects Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco's signature approach to extended-age Añejo production, hand-finished and individually inspected before release.
Expect a layered profile typical of Clase Azul Añejo at this aging depth — cooked agave, vanilla, dried fig, baked apple, toasted oak, and a long, gently spiced finish. It drinks well neat or over a single large cube.
