The product design reflects the unparalleled individuality of Nikka Whisky.

When you open the heavy wooden box, the signatures of the eight blenders from the first master blender Masataka Taketsuru to the present day are on the mirrored surface inside the door. The design imitates the overlapping collar of a kimono, and the bottle of THE NIKKA appears, expressing the depth that is unique to blended whiskeys.

The front side is simply engraved with the name, and the back side is engraved with Roman numerals indicating the nine DECADES (10 years) and the venerable Nikka emblem using "Edo Carving®", a technique that combines traditional craftsmanship and sandblasting techniques.

Carving on both the front and back sides is extremely difficult and requires advanced craftsmanship.

The seal features 18 nonagons on a checkerboard pattern that expresses the individuality of the six distilleries and factories in six colors, expressing a beautifully harmonious blend.

This limited edition booklet tells the story of Nikka Whisky's challenges, which have been woven from founder Masataka Taketsuru to the present day , along with the characteristics of the representative raw liquors used . The tireless progress of the people who have poured their passion into whiskey-making, despite being buffeted by the rough seas of the times , will make THE NIKKA NINE DECADES even more enjoyable.

Aroma: The complex blend of diverse aromas, including rich sweetness reminiscent of apple pie and raisins, a fragrant barrel-aged aroma reminiscent of toast, a gentle smokiness, and a nostalgic retro scent reminiscent of antique furniture, makes you feel as if you are in a cellar where the raw liquor rests peacefully.
Taste: Based on the rich, full-bodied flavor of the barrel, it has a spicy flavor reminiscent of cinnamon, roasted nuts, a rich flavor like dark chocolate, the bitterness of peat, and the sweetness of apricot jam and maple syrup, giving you a warm feeling like you're sitting in front of a fireplace.
Aftertaste: It has a mild peat flavor, deep richness and sweet and sour taste, with a heavy and pleasant bitterness that lingers for a long time.
