Age: Blend of 6,7 & 9 Year Old Bourbon

Proof: 105 proof

Finish: Port, Cognac, and Rum

Tasting Notes: Nose: Layers of baked blackberry with cream, brown sugar, and nutmeg open up into aromas of leather, and cigar box to build a complex nose that continues to develop in the glass.

Palate: Dark fruit and nutmeg make an appearance along with vibrant cognac, but eventually give way to caramel and aged oak, showing the strong character of the aged bourbons in the blend.

Finish: Similar to the palate, the finish begins with a burst of rich port wine sweetness which transitions into seasoned oak and worn leather.

About: 15 STARS Triple Cask Bourbon is a marriage of two Kentucky straight bourbons aged 16 & 8 years. This blend of mature bourbons was finished in port, cognac, and rum casks for 8 months to extract the unique influences of each of these spirits. Each finishing barrel provides a distinctly different dimension that when blended together creates a complex and interesting whiskey that is one of a kind.

The Story: 

15 STARS celebrates Kentucky history. In 1795, Kentucky was recognized as the 15th US state on the historic 15 star and 15 stripe US flag, the second flag of the nation. At that time Kentucky was emerging as a hub for high quality craftsmen and artisans in trades such as gunsmithing, furniture making, silversmithing, distilling, and more. 15 STARS Bourbon approaches their work the same way as these early Kentucky artisans, by pouring their effort into the creation of a great product that will stand the test of time.

Nose: A luscious assortment of maple, peanut brittle, candied orange, and lavender.

Palate: Layers of pastry with ginger, allspice, and honeycomb compliment a smooth background of aged leather and seasoned oak.

Finish: Tinges of herbal spice are accompanied by an incredibly long-lasting cigar box and leather finish.

This sixth edition of William Heavenhill is a limited and unique offering. Less than 60 barrels make up this edition, but they have been dumped into separate small batches to preserve each warehouse's unique aging effect on the barrels.

About The Brand

At the height of America’s original whiskey boom of the late nineteenth century, a German immigrant named Phil Hollenbach crafted a brand called Fortuna that helped define the early days of the modern bourbon industry.  Hollenbach left a lasting mark on the whiskey trade, having found great success in Louisville, Kentucky.  He strived to delight customers far and wide by sharing some of the “Taste of Good Fortune” provided to his family.

This exceptional 10-year-old bourbon, boasting an impressive 136.8 Proof and limited to just 3,216 bottles, is set to make its mark in the whiskey world. Double Oaked Bourbon is bottled at cask strength and is uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels to extract additional soft, sweet oak character. Finished with toasted maple wood, this bourbon packs a punch but is luxuriously smooth on the palate. This is 13th Colony in its purest form.

Our 11th Cask Strength release has arrived. Made from some of the most distinctive barrels in our rickhouse and aged for up to 14 additional months in port wine casks, it’s one of our most popular and critically acclaimed whiskey collections.

Booker’s 25th Anniversary Bourbon was released to celebrate the 25th year of Booker’s Bourbon and includes the oldest whiskey ever bottled for the Booker’s line (9-11 years). But wait, there’s more: these barrels were not just the oldest ever bottled under the Booker’s name, but were also among the last barrels Booker laid down before his passing. Booker’s 25th Anniversary Bourbon was taken from the 5th floor (“center cut”) of the Jim Beam warehouses to get that perfect balance of rustic (oak, grain, leather, etc.) and sweetness (caramel, vanilla, dark fruit, etc.).

One of three new single barrels, begin your tasting with the notes of red berries and honey before transitioning into light oak, vanilla and floral aromas. A soft and lasting finish makes this an approachable expression, perfect for sharing.

In 1753, Swiss Mennonite farmer John Shenk founded Shenk's Distillery in Pennsylvania. This distillery was later renamed Bomberger's Distillery in the 1800s before its name changed again to Michter's Distillery in the mid-20th Century. It is this heritage that the Michter's Legacy Series honors.

The prospect is not just to try something new, but to explore how aroma, depth, flavor, complexity and finish can be influenced through changing variables to enhance the drinking experience. This year's Bomberger's again brings delight with the whiskey's hallmark Chinquapin Oak coupled with the addition of some Hungarian Oak thereby creating an intriguing, rich chocolate decadence around the cherry and spice attributes synonymous with Chinquapin. Both types of oak were naturally seasoned and air dried for three years with a custom toast and char. It is super exciting to see how the integration of oak flavors can enhance the sophistication and depth of the tasting journey."
