In 1996, a catastrophic fire destroyed the Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery in Bardstown KY. To continue its distilling heritage, Heaven Hill purchased Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY in 1999, which included the Old Fitzgerald brand. Distilled in 1999, this special release celebrates the 25th anniversary of Heaven Hill continuing the legacy of the Old Fitzgerald brand today.

This ninth edition of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Series holds a 17-year-old age statement and meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. As has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products all bottles have the tax strip with the season and year of distillation and bottling. 

A world renowned Japanese blend, Hibiki 17 Year Old is made with aged malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's distilleries. Initially released in 1989, the blend is matured in Japanese mizunara oak casks at Yamazaki. Hibiki means harmony, which has certainly been achieved in this wonderful and iconic blend.

Fathertime is a Kentucky bourbon from comedian Jim Gaffigan. Middle Child Mystery is the third expression, sold as a 750ml bottle.

New parents are often told, "Children are like pancakes. You always mess up the first one." Based on this Pancake Logic, a second or third child would be an improvement, right? Not if you listen to birth order conspiracies (aka “theories”). According to those, the middle child has "issues" because they don't receive enough attention. Like most parents, Jim would never ignore one of his children. Unless they were asking for a screen. Or money. Or if he was watching football. Well, despite all this birth order nonsense (“theory”), Jim’s middle child somehow earned the right to be his phone's wallpaper image, much to the dismay of the other pancakes. The middle child is often a mystery; but then again, so is most of parenting... which is probably why Jesus invented bourbon.

The same principles that inspired the previous editions of Fathertime have also guided the creation of this new release, Middle Child Mystery. This endeavor is still just Jim and Stu tasting barrels and putting together a smooth and delicious bourbon. This batch is just as precious as the first, and each bottle is personally signed by Jim, which was a pain in the ass but totally worth it – much like fatherhood.

Jim fell in love with bourbon after he and his wife Jeannie learned an occasional drink provided a momentary break from parenting teenagers. If you have children, you understand. To those who humbly accept the paternal responsibility, we raise a glass to you. A father’s joy is earned.

The International Order of St. Hubertus is comprised of an international group of individuals, Ordensbrothers, who are passionate about the sports of hunting and fishing, and who are vitally interested and actively involved in the preservation of wildlife, its habitat, and the tradition of ethical hunting and fishing. Ordensbrothers include dedicated upland bird hunters, duck hunters, and hunters of larger and big game. A number of Ordensbrothers are also avid freshwater and fly fishermen, as well as big game fishermen. One constant among all Ordensbrothers, however, is that these hunting and fishing pursuits and the preservation of wildlife, habitat, and our hunting and fishing heritage and traditions is a real and personal interest. Ordensbrothers are individuals who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their careers and personal lives, and who have been recognized as ethical hunters or fishermen, and in their communities, professions, or in other organizations as having made a significant contribution. Liqueur created by the best craftsmen of France “Sommeliers”. This special Chartreuse Jaune cuvée was first created in 2008 by the Chartreux Fathers in close collaboration with the Meilleur Ouvriers de France Sommeliers (M.O.F).

The cuvée des Meilleur Ouvriers de France is a blend liqueur. To create this liqueur, the Carthusians brought all their know-how and knowledge to select traditional Yellow Chartreuse liqueurs and seek a different aromatic balance, highlighting freshness and liveliness.
