Rhetoric 22 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the third Rhetoric release from the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company. Diageo's Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company is a series of bottles that came from barrels that were abandoned or forgotten at rickhouses and distilleries.
Aged two years longer than the first release, it is slightly more mature and carries a higher proof. The whiskey will continue to be progressively aged and were re-released annually at a year older. However, the earlier releases are now the most desirable for bourbon aficianados. Beginning with hints of toasted grains, cherries, and oak wood, Rhetoric 22 Year Old tastes of toasted oak, dark chocolate with ripe banana, and baking spices of clove and anise. The finish is long and woody, ending with dark chocolate notes.

Master Distiller Owen Martin is raising the bar with Angel’s Envy Triple Oak at 92 proof (46% ABV)—the first new addition to our award-winning Signature Series lineup in over 10 years. Through experimenting with blend ratios, Owen created a traditional bourbon with a modern twist, seamlessly combining flavors from three distinct barrels sourced from around the world.

The artistry of Angel’s Envy Triple Oak lies in how each barrel’s character enhances the blend. The French oak brings the strongest flavor of all, providing hints of baking spices, chocolate, and cinnamon. It is complemented by the Chinkapin oak, a seasoned local Kentucky oak, which adds notes of caramel, vanilla, and a rich coffee layer. The Hungarian Oak balances the three, providing depth while uniting the finishes into one balanced flavor profile.

One of the most lush and rich whiskeys on the market. The nose is walnuts, prunes, and floral notes. The palate mimics the nose with walnuts, prunes, spices, intertwined with lavender and balanced with the perfect amount of acid, that leads you down a path of lingering burnt caramel.

The next iteration of Orphan Barrel’s progressively aged series, Rhetoric, Aged 21 Years speaks to whiskey enthusiasts with much persuasiveness as another year in the barrel bursts with new smells, flavors and tastes. Aromas of cherry, sweet tobacco, honey and leather build upon the oak, fruit, vanilla and caramel of its counterpart with new tastes of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, baking spices and honey.

For this, our eleventh utterance of the mantra, WhistlePig's whiskey makers journey to Rajasthan, India - the Land of Kings - in search of precious spices to forge the world’s first Thandai barrel aged Rye. An alluring elixir served in celebration of victory and creation, Thandai joins the shakti of Straight Rye Whiskey with a floral meditation of saffron, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, further enlivened by fennel, poppy and black peppercorn. The result is a splendid wellspring of strength and majesty; a saga befitting the maharajah of Rye.

Maker’s Mark® Cellar Aged defines an older whisky that’s distinctly Maker’s. By embracing both the unique impact that our warehouse and cellar maturation have on flavor, we've created an older expression that is richer and more complex whilst staying true to the founder's taste vision of bourbon without the bite. The 2024 Release of Cellar Aged is an artistic blend of 12- and 13-year-old barrels to achieve the taste vision for a brighter, fruiter and more complex Maker’s Mark.
