Blended reposado from used American Oak barrels and French Oak barrels that once held Marsala wine - year may vary
May be 700ml or 750ml bottlings
The famed Sazerac Coffee House was founded in 1850 on Exchange Alley in New Orleans, Louisiana and soon gained fame as the home of “America’s First Cocktail” known as the Sazerac. Using rye whiskey in place of the French brandy, a dash of Peychaud Bitters, and Herbsaint, what eventually became the official cocktail of New Orleans was created. This straight rye has a mellow spice and dry sweetness that dances on the tongue, giving pure delight that is worthy of the Sazerac name.

- T8ke's Tasting Notes: Hefty and rye driven on the nose: bold sweetness, heavy rye spice, a crackle of ginger, toffee, oak, a hint of herbal pop, and gobs of sticky toffee and pleasant tannin. What strike me most is the ebb and flow of rye spice - peaking both on the palate and the nose: big sweetness gives way to pronounced rye spice, which gives way back to balancing oak, baking spice and undercurrents of sweet, dessert character. It has the vibrancy and the pop and crackle of the ryes I love most with the backbone, tannin and underlying sweetness to bring big complexity without shrouding how rye forward the pour is. Long finish, honey, cracked pepper, brown sugar and baking spice, hints of herbal and minty rye with cherries, tobacco and decadent spice.
Single barrel Aged in Port Wine barrels for at least one year
Hints of wood and smoke
Perfect in Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour

The color of “Storyteller Batch” is a rich amber with a golden shine. Sitting in your glass, the scent of a great bourbon fills the room and invites you to further explore the brown sugar aroma. The taste is delightful and well-balanced, with notes of vanilla and wood. I tasted this batch on a drizzly September day. There was a slight chill in the air and it reminded me that fall is just around the corner, and this bourbon has the perfect warm finish for the days to come. A little bit of water further opened the tasting experience for me, but you can enjoy it any way you please. Storyteller Batch is just the way Dad would have wanted it when he created this brand over thirty years ago - I can almost hear him telling one of his great stories while he sips a glass of his own. I hope you enjoy this batch as much as I do!
Rhetoric 23 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the fourth in the Rhetoric Series of progressively aged whiskeys from the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company. Diageo's Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company is a series of bottles that came from barrels that were abandoned or forgotten at rickhouses and distilleries. Aged 4 years longer than the first release, it is slightly more mature and carries a 90.6 proof. The whiskey will continue to be progressively aged and were re-released annually at a year older.
Bottled in 2014, Old Blowhard is the first of the rare vintages of Diageo's Orphan Barrel Series, a series of bottles that come from barrels of bourbon discovered from abandoned or forgotten rickhouses and distilleries. Blustery, boastful, and unapologetic, Old Blowhard Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has been around too long to suffer fools. In the warehouses of mass-production, you might say there isn't much room for a whiskey full of flavor and big on personality. For 26 years, this well-traveled whiskey has been demanding attention, too bold to play well with others. This is arguably the rarest of the Orphan Barrel Series, as it was bottled in 2014 for one year only and is no longer made.
Bottled in an ornate decanter, the fall edition denotes a black label, consistent across all fall releases. As was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products, will disclose when the liquid was produced and bottled. The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond fall edition will be available in the 750ml size on an allocated basis. It meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume.
The Fall 2022 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the first 19-year-old of the nationally released series and features Bourbon pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus. As a leader of the Bottled-in-Bond category, Heaven Hill is proud to offer a premium product within this special class that showcases the authenticity and quality of the American Whiskey portfolio.
