Barr Hill Gin is distilled once in a custom-built botanical extraction still with hand-crushed, organic juniper, and then finished with raw honey from the region. The raw honey contributes botanical depth from the countless wildflowers foraged by the bees.
Back in the 1960s through the 80s, distilleries were having trouble selling their whiskey in bottles so they started creating unique bottlings through the use of Decanters. Old Crow, which was owned and produced by National Distillers created a full chess set of decanter bottles, complete with all pieces and the ability to send them postage to receive a carpeted chessboard as well. The whiskey inside is 86pf and age stated 10 years, but is among some of the highest rated whiskey by vintage enthusiasts that has ever been produced.

In honor of what would have been Elmer’s 100th birthday, a 100 proof commemorative bottling of Elmer T. Lee 100 Year Tribute Single Barrel Bourbon is being released by Buffalo Trace Distillery. This is a limited edition, one time only release with the same age and mashbill as the standard Elmer T. Lee, but this whiskey is bottled at 100 proof. The bourbon has the classic taste that Elmer would have loved, with a nose of maple syrup up front, a taste of creamy vanilla with berries, and a long finish of coffee, toasted oak, and vanilla.
Kentucky- This small batch bourbon is aged on OCEARCH boats as they travel the seas. The constant movement of the liquid in the barrels ages the whiskey faster because the more of the liquid is in contact with the wood more often. The result is a spirit with rich and complex flavors.

Some time ago, Dr Bill began to imagine how he could capture the lavish flavours found in an ice cream parlour in a single malt, bringing out even more sweet and creamy vanilla-like flavours in Glenmorangie’s spirit. And after a host of experiments, he and Master Blender, Gillian Macdonald, united single malt aged in bourbon casks with our first whisky finished in high-vanillin casks. These new oak casks had been especially toasted to bring out more vanilla qualities; rippling with notes of ripe peaches, vanilla and coconut, A Tale of Ice Cream takes Glenmorangie’s sweet, fruity flavours to a decadent peak. Chichibu Distillery has its roots all the way back to the 1940s when Ichiro’s family started producing whisky at Hanyu Distillery. Eventually, the downturn of whisky in the 1990s forced Hanyu to close its doors. Ichiro still releases some of the Hanyu whisky under the Playing Card series. This whisky has become legendary alongside the whisky produced at his now-owned distillery, Chichibu. In 2008 he built his current distillery and has quickly become a Japanese Whisky fan favorite.
