Introducing the 2022 release of The Bootleg Series by Heaven’s Door.  Featuring rare and unreleased whiskeys, each annual release features one of Dylan’s paintings on a hand-made ceramic bottle in a bespoke leather case.

The fourth annual Bootleg release, The Bootleg Series Vol. IV featured a wheated bourbon aged for 11 years, finished in Islay Scotch Casks, with a proof of 111.0.

An inviting and rustic custom handcrafted wooden gift box with a brass nameplate with the engraving "World's Best Mom" that teases the fact that someone special is about to open something equally special. As you open the antique latch, it reveals a felt top that has been covering 2 hand-blown glasses and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Aged 23 Years laying gently and securely in a batch of hypoallergenic antique packing straw. A fantastic old bottling of Weller's Antique Reserve, aged 10 years and bottled at a barrel proof of 110. Distilled and then bottled at the legendary Stizel-Weller distillery, and given the age statement, likely from stock produced by Julian Van Winkle I before his death in the mid-1960's.  The fill level shown is fairly standard for these bottlings and as we have a few available some might have a slightly better fill than what is shown.   Old bottles can unfortunately have some leakage due to old corks and seals.   We will do our best to prevent any leaking in transit however minor leaks can happen.  

Of the casks aging quietly in Suntory's cellars, Mizunara casks are the most rare, numbering only a few among thousands. Those whiskies aged for over 18 years within these legendary casks are all the more precious. Our blenders have carefully selected only the finest whiskies from this prized collection, and through their unparalleled craftsmanship have created the Yamazaki Mizunara. Please enjoy its complex, Uniquely Japanese profile, and long-lingering finish.

For the past 9 years, Heaven Hill has released a special edition whiskey in honor of treasured former Master Distiller Parker Beam. This year's Parker's Heritage release is an 8 year old, non-chill filtered whiskey with a mash bill of 65% malted barley and 35% corn.With intense, sweet flavors of caramel popcorn and peanuts, you could say this is a real Cracker Jack of a whiskey! Dried fruits give this big, rich bruiser some needed acidity. As is typical with these high proof releases, it goes down a bit hot. Best enjoyed (on a porch at dusk, optional) with a large rock to take some of the edge off and allow the flavors to mellow in the glass.

Back in the 1960s through the 80s, distilleries were having trouble selling their whiskey in bottles so they started creating unique bottlings through the use of Decanters. Old Crow, which was owned and produced by National Distillers created a full chess set of decanter bottles, complete with all pieces and the ability to send them postage to receive a carpeted chessboard as well. The whiskey inside is 86pf and age stated 10 years, but is among some of the highest rated whiskey by vintage enthusiasts that has ever been produced.

Note: Old decanters could possibly have some minor leakage during transit.  We will do everything to prevent leakage but some is frequently expected and we cannot be held liable for minor leakage.  Major issues - please contact us (such as decanter breakage, significant leakage) and please have pictures/video available.
