Taylor, Jr. Barrels are evaluated and selected to create a perfect blend of distinctive character that is like no other. - T8ke's Tasting Notes: The quintessential rye king, these Piggyback barrels that are Vermont distilled are awesome crosses of quality and value - tons of big, bold, woody maple, herbal rye spice, toffee and black pepper that screams rye. At 6 years old and barrel strength, there's a rich palate, plenty of oak but without covering up sweet maple, peppy rye spice and an herbal note. Long finish, jammin' and lovely.

Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 20 Year Old Straight Corn Whiskey 2023 Edition
Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 20 Year Old Straight Corn Whiskey 2023 Edition
This release of double eagle very rare from 2023 (laser coded 2022). This release contained 1000 bottles.
This very limited 20-year-old bourbon whiskey lives up to its name, maturing twice as long as the standard Eagle Rare 10-year-old bourbon and featuring two beautifully-sculpted crystal glass eagles in the Double Eagle decanter.
A true collectors’ item, Double Eagle Very Rare is presented in a luxurious silver box and crystal decanter. Very few bottles were produced, with an individually-numbered letter of authenticity included with each.
Back in the 1960s through the 80s, distilleries were having trouble selling their whiskey in bottles so they started creating unique bottlings through the use of Decanters. Old Crow, which was owned and produced by National Distillers created a full chess set of decanter bottles, complete with all pieces and the ability to send them postage to receive a carpeted chessboard as well. The whiskey inside is 86pf and age stated 10 years, but is among some of the highest rated whiskey by vintage enthusiasts that has ever been produced.
Note: Old decanters could possibly have some minor leakage during transit. We will do everything to prevent leakage but some is frequently expected and we cannot be held liable for minor leakage. Major issues - please contact us (such as decanter breakage, significant leakage) and please have pictures/video available.
This bourbon was released in 2010 as the 4th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection. It was also the first time the series introduced barrel-proof extra-aged wheated bourbon. 52 ten-year-old barrels were dumped producing 4,800 bottles. The cask this bottle came from clocked in at 62.1% ABV. "Buttered caramel corn and vanilla snap on the nose with animal crackers and a thick oak layer. Old wood, like the whisky was tapped from a giant oak tree (a magical one at that), hits hard on the palate. Baking spices accent the taste with cinnamon leading the spiced up high alcohol blast. This is a thick and chewy bourbon. A pleasant varnished tartness mingles long with the earthy wood taking you on an amusement-park log ride of a finish."
It is a cask-strength 1996 Bourbon that has mellowed over 48 Kentucky seasons on the fifth floor of Rickhouse Y in Bardstown. The bottling was drawn from a lot of 68 carefully selected barrels, which were dumped in three "very small batches" of 22, 22 and 24 barrels each. This one is rich, with thick toffee, molasses, vanilla fudge, and Heath bar. It’s also well balanced, with underlying exotic spice, summer fruit, dusty corn, and tobacco to balance the sweeter notes. Long, soothing, finish. A nicely matured bourbon of character and pedigree.

A limited release in 2017 and again in 2018, E.H. Taylor Four Grain is made from a “distinct bourbon recipe” using corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. It was distilled in 2005 and entered into the barrel at 104 proof. According to Buffalo Trace, these are the four grains E.H.Taylor would have had access to in the late 1800s, which is why they were ultimately chosen for this release. In the company’s press release, master distiller Harlen Wheatley states, “We wanted to extract everything we like from both the rye and the wheat mashbills we currently use and combine them to see how they react. Not surprisingly, it added complexity to the finished product.”
TASTING NOTES:
Tastes of caramel corn sweetness, mingled with butterscotch and licorice. The aftertaste is a soft mouth-feel that turns into subtle spices of pepper and tobacco.

First introduced in 2017, E.H. Taylor, Jr. Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey is a 100-proof, small-batch bourbon crafted from a distinctive recipe featuring high-quality corn, rye, wheat and malted barley – grains that would have been accessible to Taylor in the 1800s. Distilled in 2015 and aged for ten years, this expression stands apart within the E.H. Taylor, Jr. lineup of whiskeys for its unique balance of flavors. The combination of four grains creates a layered and complex profile: corn delivers foundational sweetness, rye adds spice and structure, wheat softens the palate with subtle sweetness, and malted barley contributes depth with a gentle toasted character. The result is a bourbon that is both rich and balanced, offering notes of caramel, vanilla and chocolate with a lightly spiced, lingering finish.
“What makes Four Grain so special is how unconventional it is," said Harlen Wheatley, Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace Distillery. "It’s also a clear example of what we call a ‘graduated experiment’ – one that began as a deliberate exploration and evolved into a release worthy of returning as a permanent expression. Rye and wheat are often used separately, but combining them creates a completely different flavor experience. Alongside corn and malted barley, we’re able to build layers of flavor that balance sweetness, spice and depth in a way you don’t typically see in bourbon.”
