Frank August Mizunara Japanese Oak Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
$169.00
Unit price perFrank August Mizunara Japanese Oak Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
$169.00
Unit price perSet beside the canal on a hill overlooking the vibrant city of Glasgow, the Port Dundas Distillery was a prominent local landmark established in 1810, which gave the world two centuries of exceptional whisky. Although Port Dundas closed its doors in 2010, there are select, rare remaining stocks that allow a glimpse into the glorious past of one of Scotland’s most respected and historic distilleries. Muckety-Muck is one of those rare single grain scotches boasting 24 years of aging and is the first single grain scotch for the Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co. The aroma starts with a burst of caramel and notes of baked sugar backed by the taste of crisp fruit and light toasted oak. The fruit forward flavor is blended with hints of butterscotch vanilla which carry through to the finish.

This limited-edition release celebrates the time, effort, and commitment to our never-ending pursuit of craft. Aged twice as long as our flagship bourbon, Knob Creek 18-Year-Old owes its rich copper color and deep notes of caramelized oak to its extensive aging in our Kentucky rack houses.
From the Producer:
In the pursuit of intense and original flavors, our team set out to create a new generation of heirloom corn. The early growing years were curated by our team, with only the finest kernels selected for eventual growth in the fields. Years later, that corn – proprietary to Widow Jane - was harvested, driven to Red Hook and mashed, fermented & distilled, and placed into new, charred American oak barrels. The wait was a test of endurance, but the payoff? Exquisite. Because when you start with the finest raw materials, the result is extraordinary bourbon.
Baby Jane is a bourbon whiskey made from our own unique heirloom corn, “Baby Jane." This unique corn has depth, sweetness and creamy-spiciness that makes Baby Jane Bourbon truly different. Distilled by Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn and in Kentucky. True small batch bourbon; hand-assembled in Brooklyn, blended only a few barrels at a time. Non-chill filtered and proofed with our own mineral water from the legendary Rosendale mines of New York.

With a mash bill of yellow corn, hard red winter wheat, rye and malted barley, this unique bourbon celebrates the memory of Samuel Peters Brown. Mr. Brown gave us the eponymous Brown Street as a part of his 1866 subdivision of the tract of land he bought on the cheap from a Southern sympathizer who had to get out of DC during the Civil War. It is one of the few streets in the neighborhood that has never had its name changed.
As with all Mt. Pleasant Club Whiskey batches, Reboot Beverages will be donating a portion of this bottle sale back to the local community.
“The way our barrels are built and our ability to experiment are two of the most important parts of the Jack Daniel’s whiskey-making tradition,” said Chris Fletcher, Master Distiller at the Jack Daniel Distillery. “It was exciting for us to see what our Heritage Barrels produced with previous limited releases, and we’re thrilled to bring that same unforgettable flavor to more friends with this permanent offering.”
To craft the expression, Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, is distilled and mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal. Barrels are prepared with a high-toast, low-char toasting technique inspired by the earliest barrel-making traditions, creating a deeper, richer toasted layer before the barrel is charred. The whiskey then enters the Heritage Barrels at a lower proof of 100 and is matured in some of the highest-elevated barrel houses in Lynchburg, Tennessee. While each barrel will vary in age, all Single Barrel Heritage Barrels are matured for at least seven years.
Offered at 100 proof (50% abv), Single Barrel Heritage Barrel has a soft oak nose, warm notes of honey and candied fruit across the palate, and a lingering finish of brown sugar.
