    • Nose:Sweet butterscotch, peaches and honey, sweet papaya and a hint of tropical funk. Black pepper, ginger, candied berries and a hint of cinnamon meets brown sugar, more butterscotch and a pop of delightful tropical fruits. It's sweet, there's a pan of funk, there's dessert and hints of oak. 
    • Palate: Rich on the palate, viscous from the proof but not too heavy. Sneaky for the proof, just a faint tickle of ethanol. Pineapples, peaches, pears, papaya and a hint of mango mixes with pleasant oak, cracked pepper, a touch of industrial funk and balancing, rich, tropical hogo.   Light tobacco, more butterscotch and light dessert caramels here blend with tropical fruit, spice and enticing funk. It's not heavy and dull, it's bright and enticing. 
    • Finish: Long finish, the funk settles here giving more time to the tropical fruits and caramels, the pleasant but respectful oak. More pepper, sweet caramels and butterscotch, lovely woody structure and more tropical fruits with some molasses, toffee and a final pop of tropical fruits and funk.

For the 2025 release, wood science and maturation are key to the character of Bomberger's Declaration. Michter's Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson commented, "I'm so happy with the result. Once again Chinquapin barrels have contributed to the hallmark flavor of Bomberger's Declaration. For this year's release we used a spectrum of different barrels constructed from wood naturally seasoned outdoors in varying cases from 18 months to 3 years to 4 years to 5 years thus changing the chemistry of the oak's contributions during aging. The result is a bold and multi-dimensional experience to savor and enjoy."

This small-batch bourbon offers a bouquet of vanilla spice followed by rich, creamy toffee on the palate. It finishes quickly with a touch of sweetness. 

Woodinville 100% Rye Aged 8 Years. This is truly handcrafted whiskey. Planted in the Fall, rye grain lies dormant all winter long under a blanket of snow. When growth resumes, during the scorching summer months on the Omlin family farm in Quincy, Washington, the crop is hand irrigated. Nearly a full year after planting, at harvest, Arnie and son Joel work long hours gathering the grain, which is then trucked across the mountains to Woodinville for milling, mashing and distillation. After distillation, the whiskey is transported back to barrelhouses in Quincy, where it rests in custom-specified, long-seasoned, toasted and charred American Oak barrels.

“None of this is efficient, but it’s 100% worth it,” say Woodinville co-founder Orlin Sorensen. “We are laser-focused on quality, and if it takes an extra step or two on the journey, we’ll absolutely forge that path. We’re here to make the best craft whiskey in America, and we’re excited to share this Woodinville 100% Rye Aged 8 Years.”

Woodinville 100% Rye Aged 8 Years Tasting Notes: Dark molasses, clove and brown sugar on the nose, followed by cinnamon, vanilla, dark honey and touch of dried cranberry on the palate. It offers a long warm peppery finish with a dry oaky grip in your mouth.
