Antoine Amédée Peychaud came to New Orleans from the island of San Domingo, the former French colony that is now Haiti. By 1832 he owned an apothecary in the French Quarter where he made his famous bitters. These bitters gave a little zest to the elixirs he sold at his pharmacy and over time Peychaud's bitters became wildly popular. His recipe of distilled spirits infused with botanicals is still used today.

Peychaud's is an essential ingredient in the official Sazerac cocktail and an indispensable staple in any sophisticated bar.

As you open the antique latch, it reveals a felt top that has been covering 2 hand-blown glasses and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Aged 20 Years laying gently and securely in a batch of hypoallergenic antique packing straw. The exterior dimensions of this one of a kind gift box are 14.75″W x 10.75″D x 5.75″H. Because each box is handmade, quantities are limited and please inquire for expedited shipping.

The Keepers Release celebrates those who craft our handmade bourbon at Star Hill Farm. It is inspired by the people who oversee the maturation of our whisky, the true "Keepers" of Maker's Mark.

From there, Canadian Rye from our award-winning Alberta Distillery is skillfully layered in. A touch of Port, and its complementary notes of ripe fruit, provides the third and final layer to a whiskey just as at home on the rocks as it is in a cocktail.

The 2021 Insignia captivates the senses with vibrant aromas of black cherry, hibiscus, and wild blackberry, subtly accented by fresh earth and a hint of Tahitian vanilla. On the palate, these dark fruit characteristics are harmonized with warm tones of redwood bark and baking spices. Plush, soft tannins and bright acidity enhance the length, complementing the rich fruit and savory undertones. A compelling tension infuses the wine with focused energy, promising it will express beautifully for years to come.

Smoothly creamy and really mouth-filling in texture, very sweet to taste at first then quickly drying, with a sprinkling of salt and a controlled smokiness. Drying in feel, and quite gentle. Fresh, clean phenols rise to the fore at once with aromas of a smoldering bonfire on a distant beach. Long, finally powerfully smoky and drying, with a twist of warming spice that also lingers in the aftertaste.

This collector-worthy release is an 8-Year-Old, 101-proof bourbon, with an additional blend of 8- to 9-year-old whiskeys, hand-selected from a few of Jimmy’s favorite Rickhouses. Best enjoyed neat or over ice, this bourbon is a true tribute to Jimmy’s legacy.

KI NO BI, matured in Kilchoman Bourbon cask
The Kyoto Distillery is proud to partner with an independent Scotch whisky producer, Kilchoman Distillery, for an innovative collaboration with KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin.

Kilchoman is a small-scale, farm-based distillery located on the Scottish island of Islay. The distillery grows barley and has maltings on-site for its single malt whiskies.

Edition K is matured in American oak barrels previously used for Kilchoman’s single malt whiskies, and is carefully monitored by the distillery team to ensure that the influence of smoke and peat are in perfect harmony with the original botanical blend.
