In 2026, Heaven Hill is commemorating the 30th anniversary of the devastating fire that destroyed its original Bardstown distillery on November 7, 1996.

To mark the occasion, the distillery has created Heaven Hill Phoenix, a limited-edition Kentucky straight bourbon combining 18-year-old whiskey with a rare portion of 30-year-old bourbon distilled at the original Old Heaven Hill Springs Distillery.

Bottled at 107 proof.

Case Study 8 begins with 05, our first wheated release, which was named World's Best Wheated Bourbon at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. For CASE STUDY: 08, we went back to the same lots with a more focused selection, choosing only barrels from winter distillations. Because of when they were filled, these barrels carry an eight-year age statement but are closer to nine years old. This new expression is a whiskey we know well. Eight distinct batches, each composed of eight hand-selected barrels, bring together the softness and balance that set CASE STUDY: 8 apart with the depth that only additional time in American oak can give. Like every CASE release, it is a true "one-of-a kind" expression, shaped by a singular selection and never to be produced again.
