It will make you think twice about Irish whiskey.
While the Bourbon barrels brings a sweetness and smooth vanilla notes, the Oloroso casks layer on depth of dried fruit and Spanish oak spices.
We like to drink it neat, on ice, or with soda. For a delicious Double Barrel cocktail, try The Lough Inn recipe.
A flavourful and intriguingly complex whisky with a deep golden natural colour from the cask. Finely balancing aromatic warmth with zingy citrus notes, Highland Park 15 is all about lively contrasts—just like life here in Orkney.
The nose is aromatic and appealing with coastal notes, dunnage earth, peat smoke, peppercorns, pickle juice, and oyster shells. Sweet flavors of honey and fudge yield to a spicy intensity that’s quite hot to handle, but as the pepper and saltiness subside, there’s residual notes of vanilla fudge, sweet American oak, and classic Talisker pepperiness lasting long into the finish.

$149.00
Unit price perThe Diageo Special Releases have included 28 expressions from Lagavulin in the last 23 years, with the cask strength 12 year old making an appearance every year since 2002. This year is the first Lagavulin in the series to be finished in Don Julio añejo tequila casks, though Diageo previously released a Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival 13 year old bottling finished in mezcal casks in 2021.
Showcasing the influence of The Macallan’s exceptional oak casks in the flavour of the whisky, the result is a bold single malt drawn from eight of the finest European and American oak cask styles and sizes.
This 14 year old was matured in bourbon barrels before finishing in new American oak that was toasted by the heat of volcanic rocks from the Isle of Skye (where the distillery is located). This is the first time Talisker has experimented with volcanic rocks for an element of maturation.
Our Celebration of the
Deliciousness of Grain Whisky
The calibre of whiskies we need for Hedonism have grown
ever harder to find, which is why our first ever expression
will become a Limited Annual Release going forward.
For the first batch we have turned to more mature whiskies
aged almost entirely in first-fill Bourbon barrels.
Also, nearly a quarter of the recipe features the last of our
stocks of grain whiskies distilled in the 1990s, a period
when the use of maize was more widespread. This brings
an enhanced buttery weight to the overall composition.
FLAVOUR PROFILE
A complex array of patisserie aromas,
with exotic vanilla and clove-infused caramel.
Layers of creamy custard arrive on the palate,
with accents of honey and mascarpone.
A delicate citrus accent appears on the finish.
SERVING
RECOMMENDATIONS
Ideal enjoyed neat and slightly chilled.
Alternatively, add an ice cube or splash
of water and serve in a large wine glass.
Works both before and following a meal.

When the Mitchell family began bonding whiskey 135 years ago, they brought their own colourful legacy to the Dublin whiskey scene. After generations of a family business covering everything from confectionery to cafes to imported wines, when the Mitchells brought their eclectic energy to whiskey bonding, the Spot family was born. To celebrate this enduring relationship, we created our most vibrant Spot release to date – Gold Spot.

Gold Spot is matured for at least nine years in Bourbon Barrels, Sherry Butts, Bordeaux Wine Casks and Port Pipes. Non chill filtered and bottled at 51.4% ABV for a whiskey that is complex and full flavoured.
