Hot cocoa on the nose; the palate is graceful and light on its feet with pink peppercorn, jasmine, and herbs; light but pronounced smoke gives a mature backbone to the notes of cacao and the finish is salty and earthy

Oaxaca is famous for its chocolate and with good reason! The aroma of this spirit transports you to a roadside comida in Matatlán, the scent of hot cocoa rising to meet you long before you even get your nose to the glass.
Notes: Finished in Oloroso casks, this stunning extra añejo is exceptionally rich with fruit notes of dried black cherries and apricots.
Palate: Sweet brown spices, cloves, nutmeg and pepper are abundant in this expression.
Aroma: We can sense some sweetness from caramel, toffee and chocolate-covered fruit that is balanced by the freshness of menthol.
Finish: Velvety, rich and incredibly complex, the Imperial is truly outstanding and is best enjoyed neat.

Appearence
Bright Crystal with intense silvery tones: the essential oil literally hangs from the glass.
Aroma
Despite its alcoholic content, its aromas are well defined: Raw Agave (herbaceous), white pepper, citrus and Mint.
Taste
Intense cooked Agave, slightly smoky, pepper, anise, cinnamon and apple. A very long and well accomplished finish.
Comments
This is a tequila specially designed to be used in cocktails, as its intense aromas and flavors remain instead getting covered by the other ingredients. However, it is very gentle at the palate and can be sip and savored neat or on the rocks.
Nice minerality and forward aroma from rainwater distillation. Silky texture with slight heat. True agave, spicy, peppery, smooth and delicious with nice buttery notes and smoky elements. Complex, but pleasant sipping.
We slowly age our Añejo tequila in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for two to three years. This aging process imparts a stronger influence of oak but still allows the spirit to maintain the complexion of agave.
