The Final Reserve. 25 Years of Rye Heritage. A Bottled-in-Bond Masterclass.
When the Old Stubborn Straight Rye first debuted, it set a new benchmark for what extra-aged rye could be—and promptly sold out across the country in a few hours. Known for its dark, brooding complexity, it left enthusiasts searching for the final few bottles.
Today, we are opening the archives. This exclusive bundle features our final Safety Stock of the sold-out Old Stubborn Rye, paired with its legendary 4th Release sibling, the Old Swagger 12-Year Rye. This is a "Double Rye" powerhouse—two bottles, two decades of aging, and two distinct expressions of the prestigious standard.
The Rye Dynasty:
1. Old Stubborn Single Barrel Cask Strength Rye (The Reserve)
-
The Status: Sold Out. This is part of our final "Vault" allocation.
-
The Profile: A dark, "teenage" rye that has traded its youthful herbal notes for deep, rich complexity. Expect a heavy mouthfeel with layers of blackcurrant, dark molasses, and charred espresso beans, finished with a sophisticated "grip" of aged oak tannins.
2. Old Swagger 12-Year Cask Strength Straight Rye
-
The Vibe: The ultimate expression of "The Kentucky Chew" in rye form.
-
The Profile: A slightly brighter but equally complex companion. This 12-year masterpiece delivers cinnamon-dusted ginger, salted caramel, and toasted rye bread. It provides the perfect balance of heat and honeyed sweetness.
The Collector’s Finale
This bundle is a study in the subtle, transformative power of that "extra year." By tasting the side-by-side, you experience the pinnacle of Rising Tide's maturation program. Both spirits, single distillery, single season, aged in federally bonded warehouses—ensuring unparalleled quality in every drop.

The Reserves launched last year (2024) as the first innovation to come from Booker’s Bourbon since the 30th Anniversary launch. The Reserves is an annual, limited-release series by Freddie, to commemorate his grandaddy, 6th Generation Master Distiller Booker Noe, and his contributions to the bourbon world.
The 2025 batch tells the story of some well-traveled barrels: first used to age the beloved Booker’s 30th Anniversary release, then shipped to Jalisco where the Camarena family filled them with El Tesoro’s 85th Anniversary tequila. Finally, those same agave-seasoned barrels returned to Clermont, Kentucky, where Freddie Noe finished a hand-selected batch of Booker’s inside them. This is the very first time across the entire Beam portfolio that a product is finished in tequila barrels.
The result is a one-of-a-kind bourbon – uncut and unfiltered. It was bottled at 123.3 proof and aged exactly eight years, ten months and eleven days.
“In many ways, it’s the same Booker’s you know and love,” Freddie Noe said. “Always uncut and unfiltered. But in other ways, The Reserves is something new, inspired by my granddaddy’s boundless curiosity and relentless pursuit of flavor.”

The exquisite Kentucky straight bourbon looks beyond the rolling hills of the Bluegrass State and deep into the Caribbean Sea, drawing inspiration from the lush isle of Jamaica.
A Ballad of Fire
Our most recent icon: an innovative expression of tequila that captures the transformative force that fire exerts upon agave.
The delicately smoky profile of this unaged spirit stems from the revival of ancestral tequila-making techniques.
The agave for this tequila is cooked slowly in a pit oven lined with firewood and volcanic stone, imparting subtle notes of smoke.
The 2021 Insignia captivates the senses with vibrant aromas of black cherry, hibiscus, and wild blackberry, subtly accented by fresh earth and a hint of Tahitian vanilla. On the palate, these dark fruit characteristics are harmonized with warm tones of redwood bark and baking spices. Plush, soft tannins and bright acidity enhance the length, complementing the rich fruit and savory undertones. A compelling tension infuses the wine with focused energy, promising it will express beautifully for years to come.
