Bottled in 2014, Lost Prophet is the second release of the rare vintages of Diageo's Orphan Barrel Series, a series of bottles that came from barrels that were abandoned or forgotten at rickhouses and distilleries. Lost Prophet speaks softly but carries a big stick. Eloquent and gentle, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was unearthed after spending 22 long years resting in charred American white oak barrels, tucked away in a corner of the historic Stitzel-Weller rickhouses in Shively, Kentucky. Lost Prophet is a soft spoken whiskey, with aromas of honey, apricot, and clove that reveal a silky, full-bodied taste with notes of spiced vanilla and a touch of leather, culminating in a sweet smoky finish. This is one of the rarest Orphan Barrels, as it was released in 2014 for that year only and is no longer produced.

100 Proof

Fans of ‘finished whiskeys’ will love Noble Hound Dark Rye. This traditional high rye mash bill whiskey aged in new charred American oak barrels is then finished in Virginia port-styled wine barrels. Every year’s vintage is its own unique expression owing to each respective vineyard and their barrels. The classic spice and pepper of rye whiskey is followed by the subtle sweetness and velvety mouth feel of red dessert wines. Bottled at 100-proof this ‘finished’ whiskey will become a favorite sipper.

This bottle is a limited quantity release from 2016 that was the first limited edition bottling from Brent Elliott, the master distiller for Four Roses. The bottled is barrel strength and aged for 14 years with only 10,000 bottles being produced. The bottle has subtle aromas of peach jam, magnolia blossoms, and light oak that preview the flavors of spiced vanilla, fresh nutmeg, and dleicate ripe fruits that lead to a sweet honey and apricot finish. Due to the highly sought after flavor profile and limited edition bottling, this bottle is nearly impossible to find in retail stores.

MASH BILL: 75% Corn, 20% Wheat, 5% Malted Barley. Buttery, Tobacco, Apricot, Oak on the nose. Vanilla & Caramel, Buttery Oak, Black Pepper on the palate with moderately long finish that is dry, spicy and oak forward.

The Heaven Hill Heritage Collection exemplifies the true craftsmanship, patience and consistency that are hallmarks of our almost 90 years of whiskey-making traditions. With new editions released every spring, this collection features Straight American Whiskeys from one of our six traditional mashbills. Ages vary by release but all editions feature our oldest stocks of barrels.

The 2024 release of the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection is an 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Bottled without chill filtering, this 120 proof Whiskey showcases our Bourbon mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley. As noted on the label for added transparency, this year’s release consists of 133 barrels that were produced in December 2005 and aged on the third floor of rickhouse 1I.

The Knob Creek 21 Year is a limited-edition, ultra-aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), known for its deep flavors of charred oak, vanilla, and caramel, with notes of dark fruit, baking spice, and a long, warming finish. It is a rare release from the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, offering a complex, mature profile shaped by 21 years of aging in deeply charred American oak barrels.

Knob Creek 12 Year Old is a small batch, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged for 12 years and bottled at 100 proof.

Jack Daniel’s Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8 starts with Jack Daniel’s traditional Tennessee Whiskey mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye. After distillation, the whiskey was charcoal mellowed and entered into new, charred American white oak barrels in September of 2013 to mature on the fifth and sixth floors of Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8. After maturation at the distillery’s highest elevations, this expression was bottled at barrel strength with proofs ranging from 122 to 137.5.

Coy Hill Barrelhouse 8 features Jack Daniel's signature notes of caramel and vanilla alongside hints of candied fruit, rich toffee and molasses. Aromas of baking spices, cinnamon and clove pair with a balanced finish of charred oak and dark brown sugar.

In honor of what would have been Elmer’s 100th birthday, a 100 proof commemorative bottling of Elmer T. Lee 100 Year Tribute Single Barrel Bourbon is being released by Buffalo Trace Distillery. This is a limited edition, one time only release with the same age and mashbill as the standard Elmer T. Lee, but this whiskey is bottled at 100 proof. The bourbon has the classic taste that Elmer would have loved, with a nose of maple syrup up front, a taste of creamy vanilla with berries, and a long finish of coffee, toasted oak, and vanilla.
