Shenk's Homestead 2023 Release Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey pays tribute to the legacy of American whiskey pioneer, John Shenk. This Kentucky-made whiskey adheres to the traditional Sour Mash process, incorporating a portion of the previously distilled whiskey mash (the "setback") into the next batch. This full-bodied, small batch whiskey is 91.2 proof and has a unique character due to the inclusion of malted rye in the recipe. Maturation occurs in two distinctive barrel profiles: a part is aged in naturally air-dried, seasoned wood with a signature toast and char profile, while a portion matures in special toasted French oak barrels. The result is a warm and rich whiskey with notes of spiced fruit, nougat, honey, and spiced chocolate.

15 STARS First West Rye celebrates the history of distilling excellence in America’s First West. In 1795, the 15 star flag recognized Kentucky as the 15th US state and the first state West of the Appalachians. At the time, Kentucky was surrounded by two US territories, making up the region commonly known as America’s First West. The three straight rye whiskeys used to create this blend were aged 8, 7, and 6 years and distilled in KY, IN, and TN as a tribute to the First West.
105 Proof (ABV 52.5%)
Nose: Sweet fruit aromas of ripe pear, golden raisin, orange peel, and honey emerge boldly, balanced by a spice blend including cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate: The candied fruit notes from the nose remain and are joined by herbal spice and almond to form a round and full palate.
Finish: The sip comes to an end with pleasant flavors of kumquat, almond, and lasting toasted oak
From the producer:
With Cazcanes, you won’t find a large scale distillery producing tequila for multiple brands. What you will find is a boutique-style distillery that operates in harmony with the land, environment, and the natural spring that preserves it. Cazcanes takes a distinctive approach to produce hand-crafted tequila from start to finish.
Cazcanes sources natural artesian water for our tequila. The water starts off as rain high up in the pristine peaks of the San Pedro De Los Landeros Mountains. It slowly travels through natural minerals deep within the volcanic mountains before emerging at the Navichi springs.
We hand select each individual 100% Weber Blue agave for harvest during peak sugar levels to deliver a distinct Cazcanes taste. The “piñas” are then cooked and put through our roller mill to extract and concentrate their flavors.
Next comes fermentation using, natural wild yeast, followed by distillation in our alembic stills. Our attention to detail continues through every step of our small batch process until our tequila finds its final resting place in a hand-blown glass bottle.
Cazcanes Tequila No.7 Reposado is the first Reposado offering from Mr. Collin Edwards, the award-winning Master Distiller of Cazcanes Tequila. It also was awarded a Bronze Medal from the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and a Gold Medal from the 2020 Sip Awards.
Blue Spot’s name was derived from the Mitchell’s practice of marking their maturing casks of whiskey with a mark or daub of coloured paint to determine the age potential of the whiskey. Blue Spot was a 7 year old whiskey, Green Spot (10 year old), Yellow Spot (12 Year Old) and Red Spot (15 year old).
As a colourful history would have it, this revered Blue Spot remained underground until now and its introduction reunites the historical Spot Family for the first time in over 56 years.

Back in the 1960s through the 80s, distilleries were having trouble selling their whiskey in bottles so they started creating unique bottlings through the use of Decanters. Old Crow, which was owned and produced by National Distillers created a full chess set of decanter bottles, complete with all pieces and the ability to send them postage to receive a carpeted chessboard as well. The whiskey inside is 86pf and age stated 10 years, but is among some of the highest rated whiskey by vintage enthusiasts that has ever been produced.
Note: Old decanters could possibly have some minor leakage during transit. We will do everything to prevent leakage but some is frequently expected and we cannot be held liable for minor leakage. Major issues - please contact us (such as decanter breakage, significant leakage) and please have pictures/video available.
This Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is made with Emmer wheat, an ancient Egyptian grain rarely seen in modern stills. The limited release is named after William Larue Weller's grandfather, the first member of the Weller family to distill in Kentucky. This is an extremely limited and highly allocated release from Buffalo Trace
Little Book® Chapter 6, “To The Finish,” is the sixth chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series. “To The Finish” offers a chance for any curious whiskey drinker to expand their palate - both seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike. The name of this year’s chapter offers fans of American whiskey an opportunity to experience liquid that I personally had a hand in creating and showcases the innovation of Little Book chapters over the last six years.
Named in honor of the nickname Freddie's grandad Booker gave him, Little Book is an annual whiskey series featuring new, unique blends— a first for the family. Uncut, unfiltered* and always one-of-a-kind, each limited release offers Freddie the opportunity to follow his curiosity to create a new taste profile greater than the sum of its parts. From each spirits' mash bill and age to where they were stored in the rackhouse, there are a million decisions that go into the final blend. The possibilities are endless. Which is good. Because Freddie has no intention of stopping any time soon.
Little Book Chapter 6 is a blend of five different liquid streams using different wood staves and barrel techniques that impart a unique liquid profile due to the secondary aging. This chapter continues to push the boundaries of blending and challenges what some might assume of lower aged whiskies. The way these liquid streams complement each other makes this liquid extremely approachable, even for those who haven’t given cask strength whiskey a try.
The first release of the Booker’s® Bourbon 2023 Collection is Booker’s Batch 2023-01 “Charlie’s Batch.” This batch is named in honor of Charlie Hutchens, the craftsman behind the signature wooden boxes that each bottle of Booker’s Bourbon comes in. He is also a longtime family friend and former employee of my dad, Booker Noe.
Charlie started his career working at the Booker Noe Distillery. He was quite the storyteller and would entertain others with his tall tales throughout the workday. He was also one to pay close attention to the details, doing something over and over again until it was perfect – just like Dad was with his whiskey. It’s not hard to see why they got on so well.
After several years, Charlie left the business to open his own cabinet shop with his brother. Charlie handcrafted the very first Booker’s Bourbon wooden boxes in his garage, and he’s created every box for us since. He and his brother have expanded their business to create other fine wood products for different brands and projects in the Beam family, including supplying custom furniture to the new Fred B. Noe Distillery – where Booker’s Bourbon is now distilled.
Charlie still lives near our Booker Noe Distillery and enjoys fishing and vacationing with his family in South Carolina. One of these days, my son Freddie and I hope to get out there to fish with him. Our whole family is so grateful for Charlie as he was one of the first people to help us make Booker’s Bourbon a recognizable brand. Charlie is a very worthy recipient of his own batch, and we are excited to honor him.

The rancho, just 28 kilometers from Tequila Ocho’s new home place, Tequilera Los Alambiques, located in the highlands and characterized by rich red soil, high elevation, and plateau-like positioning; conditions which have produced the purest, ripest agave with a 33% average sugar content for the piñas. The result is an exceptional tequila with a signature hint of residual sweetness on the palate.
What are the “Puntas” of agave spirits and why does it matter?
The puntas, or “distiller’s cut,” of agave spirits are cut from the very end of the heads and the very beginning of the heart of distillation. They have long been considered the most coveted part of the distillate and are traditionally set aside by the distiller to be enjoyed with friends and family on special occasions. Other high-proof tequilas on the market only use the “heart” cut of distillation, rather than the highly selective cut known as Puntas.
